The DC Street Photography Collective, DCSPC, is proud to present a night of photography at Slash Run. This event will feature a presentation by Darrow Montgomery, a DC-based photographer who worked for the Washington City Paper for over 30 years visually narrating the stories of crime, politics, gentrification and DC residents. In addition, there is an open call to DMV photographers to participate in a critique with Montgomery and members of DCSPC.
About Darrow Montgomery
Darrow Montgomery began photographing for Washington City Paper in 1986 while still attending the Corcoran School of Art. He has worked for numerous publications as a freelancer covering such subjects as the rise, fall, and rise again of Marion Barry. The vast majority of his work has focused on the lives and people that call Washington, D.C. home.
Call for Entry
To participate submit 3-5 photographs 2000 px on the long edge at 72 DPI to thedcspc@gmail.com for consideration, deadline is Sunday Feb. 2nd at midnight EST.
